Events Executive - Wedding Specialist

Continuing this legacy in providing guests with the highest levels of personalized, intuitive service and careful attention to detail, IHCL will be introducing its newest addition - Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm Dubai. Situated on the East Crescent of the Palm and connected to a private beach, the hotel will feature 258 rooms, 67 suites, six F&B venues, a kids club, sprawling banquet & meeting spaces and Tajs signature Jiva Spa. Keeping sustainability and the incomparable Tajness at the core of its offering, the hotel is poised to create exotic experiences for all its guests.
As an Events Executive - Wedding Specialist you are responsible for the success of the meeting, catering and Wedding segment of the hotel. You will secure the business, plan the meeting / wedding, co-ordinate with hotel operations and clients before, during and after each meeting / wedding and your role will include key responsibilities such as:
Develop strong relationship with wedding planning firms through prospecting and presentation efforts for the purpose of securing business for the resorts and proper positioning of the resort as a wedding destination. Review wedding sourcing platforms and marketing opportunities to ensure continued growth of qualified wedding inquiries. Responding to all wedding / Social & groups inquiries in a prompt and professional manner, assisting clients on options best suited to both the couples needs and the resorts successful operation while providing excellent service. Develop new / customized promotions or packages and submit recommendations to the Director of MICE & Events for review and approval. Work closely with banquets and Conference Service team to ensure proper service and coverage. Provide consistent reporting as requested, including annual Strategic Sales Plan for weddings market. To closely work with the sales team in order to achieve the target, visiting outside company sales call to increase the revenue. To exercise maximum effort in promoting and selling of the Resort, using the agreed SOPs as approved in the sales procedures manual. Participate on wedding showcases, industry events, trade shows and resort Wedding & Events FAM trips. Creating and communicating an appropriate timeline for all the wedding activities Working & liaising closely working with F&B department, Kitchen, Banquet operation ensuring operational and financial success of all events. Attend revenue & events meeting on a weekly basis. To Ensure BEO meetings are conducting on weekly basis. To maintain contact with clients in order to guarantee good business relations and meet the expectation and maintaining regular contact with and place suitable business all year round. Conduct site inspection, negotiation, closing deals. To suggest any changes to the sales activity planned for the Resort. To maintain proper filing systems, files update and any database/report requirements requested by Management. Identify new markets and business opportunities, set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns. Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to and implements any legislation as required by UAE Law Attend Daily morning briefing with Appointments/ Action Plan for the day & To attend daily events briefings. Ensures accuracy of available function space and rooms through careful booking and management of the event diary. Prioritizes bookings on premium dates after consulting Director of Sales- MICE & Events. Ensures follow up of bookings are done and report the same to Director of Events. Send function contract letter to clients after finalizing function details. Ensures function contract is signed as an acceptance and sent back by client. Prepares EVENT ORDER for functions and send them to concerned departments. Ensure that the rooms are correctly blocked on the system. Submit Daily Sales report

QUALIFICATIONS



luxury You should ideally have a degree in the hospitality field with previous experiences in catering sales & wedding within hotel. * Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal and negotiations skills are essentials. Computer literate and previous experiences with Opera are an advantage.
