The Entertainment Technical Stage Technician is an essential member of the behind-the-scenes colleague who is responsible for making the magic happen in live entertainment and events. This hands-on role involves setting up, assisting, and maintaining technical equipment and props to ensure flawless performances in various entertainment & event spaces around our parks. Equipment Setup and Operation:
- Assist in the setup and teardown of audio, lighting, and visual equipment according to production requirements.
- Able to assist with the technical equipment set up and tear down during rehearsals and live performances, including soundboards, lighting consoles, and special effects devices.
Stage Support:
- Work closely with stage managers, directors, and fellow technicians to ensure smooth scene transitions and set changes.
- Safely move props, scenery, and equipment on and off the stage during performances.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on technical equipment and report Entertainment Technical of any concern to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and addressing technical issues as they arise, both during rehearsals and live shows.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect the well-being of the cast, crew, and performers.
- Safely handle and store equipment, props, and materials in accordance with safety standards.
Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with production teams, stage managers, and other crew members.
- Follow cues and instructions accurately to ensure precise timing during performances.
Equipment Inventory:
- Assist tracking of technical equipment and supplies inventory, report any shortages or damages to supervisors.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment for transportation to and from venues.
Essential:
High school diploma or equivalent Good spoken English Good understanding of English Minimum 1-2 years of experience in live event productio Communication: The ability to convey ideas, information, and thoughts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Desirable:
Technical theater training and knowledge is advantageous. Interested in technical aspects of live entertainment, including audio, lighting, and stagecraft. Physically fit and able to lift and handle heavy equipment at least (25kg). Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset. willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to support live performances. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing production demands. Electronics or Electrical Certificate is advantageous Keen interest in growing your career Theater or live events background Customer Focus: The commitment to understanding and meeting the needs and expectations of customers or clients.
