Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a leading school in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language and literature instruction while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. As an English Teacher, you will foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. You will also collaborate with staff and parents to ensure the overall success and well-being of your students.


Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Management:
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment:

    Develop and maintain a classroom culture that encourages academic curiosity, respect, and student engagement. Establish clear rules and procedures to foster active participation and a positive attitude towards learning.

  • Behavior Management:

    Set clear behavioral expectations and maintain a disciplined yet supportive environment. Address any behavioral issues promptly and fairly to keep students focused on learning.

  • Student Supervision:

    Ensure students’ safety and well-being during class, breaks, extracurricular activities, and school events.

Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
  • Lesson Planning and Implementation:

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English language, literature, and writing that align with the curriculum and academic standards. Incorporate diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Differentiated Instruction:

    Modify lesson plans, materials, and teaching methods to accommodate students with varying learning abilities, including those with special educational needs.

  • Assessment and Evaluation:

    Design and administer both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress. Provide constructive feedback, use assessment data to inform instruction, and adjust teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.

  • Technology Integration:

    Use educational technology tools, digital resources, and interactive platforms to enhance lessons, engage students, and foster a collaborative classroom environment.

Student Development and Support:
  • Academic Support:

    Identify students who need additional support and provide individualized assistance to help them reach their full potential. Work with support staff to create action plans and provide interventions where necessary.

  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL):

    Promote students' emotional and social development by fostering positive relationships, self-regulation, empathy, and conflict resolution skills within the classroom.

  • Monitor Progress:

    Track and document students' academic and behavioral progress. Provide timely feedback to both students and parents, and develop action plans for academic improvement as needed.

Communication and Collaboration:
  • Parent/Guardian Communication:

    Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic performance, behavior, and personal development. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and address any concerns promptly.

  • Collaboration with Staff:

    Work closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to student development. Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and collaborative planning sessions.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, assessments, and any notable incidents. Submit necessary reports to the school administration within specified deadlines.

School Activities and Extra-Curricular Involvement:
  • Engage in School Events:

    Actively participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and field trips that contribute to students' personal and academic growth.

  • Supervision of Students:

    Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunch, recess, and field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Professional Development:

  • Continual Learning:

    Stay up to date with current teaching methods, educational trends, and subject knowledge by attending professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences.

  • Collaborative Learning:

    Engage in collaborative learning through team meetings, workshops, and peer feedback to improve your teaching practices and contribute to the school community.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education:


    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education.
    • A valid teaching certification (specific to the region or country).
    • ADEK approval preferred.
  • Experience:


    • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an English Teacher or in a similar teaching role.
    • Strong knowledge of English language and literature curriculum, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies.
  • Classroom Management:


    • Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively, fostering a positive and disciplined learning environment.
  • Communication Skills:


    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability:


    • Ability to adjust teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and evolving educational demands.
  • Technology Skills:


    • Proficiency with educational technology tools, such as learning management systems, digital resources, and interactive teaching platforms.
  • Organizational Skills:


    • Strong organizational abilities to manage lesson plans, grading, student records, and classroom materials efficiently.

    • A caring and patient approach to supporting students’ academic and emotional development.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Hours:

    Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, [e.g., 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM], with occasional evenings for parent-teacher conferences or school events.
