The Engineering Type Instructor will organize and conduct approved type and tasks training as well as mandatory training on EK fleet in accordance to UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements. This is based on job holder?s qualifications and scope/limitations in line with Compliance Monitoring Authorization/approval certification in order to enable Licenced Aircraft Engineers/Technicians obtain type rating authorization and approvals.
In this role you will:
Conduct of Aircraft Type Cat B1.1/B2, Aircraft Type, Cat A Tasks Training, Aircraft Type Cat C/General Familiarisation courses, Cabin maintenance course, specialized Engine maintenance/overhaul, Borescope inspection courses as well as all other general courses such as Emirates Engineering Procedures, Human Factors in Aircraft Maintenance, UAE Aviation Legislation, Electrical Wire Interconnected System, Fuel Tanks Safety Systems, etc. for Licenced Aircraft Engineers, Engineering Mechanics, Technicians, Support Services personnel to meet the operational requirements.
Deliver Basic aircraft maintenance engineering training (Modules 1 to 17) as per the respective Category as and when required.
Develop/organize new courses and review/update existing courses assigned by the Engineering Type Training Manager in accordance with the Engineering Procedures Manual (EPM), Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) and Maintenance Training Organization Exposition (MTOE) procedures.
Ensure that course materials (training notes, training aids, presentations, etc.) are of high quality keeping in line with GCAA CAR 66, 145 & 147 and EASA Part 66, 145 & 147 requirements and other international aircraft maintenance training standards i.e. according to the specification listed in the Air Transport Association Manual (ATA 104) and the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO's guidelines for aircraft maintenance training.
As a designated Examiner, the job holder develop new and review/update existing examination questions, examination papers and question banks assigned to him/her by Engineering Examination Manager/Engineering Type Training Manager in accordance with EPM, MOE and MTOE procedures. Analysis of EK Fleets type courses examination results and identification of any required corrective actions on examinations conducted by him/her or assigned to him/her by Engineering Examinations Manager.
Conduct of Engine run-up training, classroom and practical simulator sessions as and when required by Engineering. The classroom training must be as per the applicable Aircraft maintenance Manual (AMM), Emirates Procedures Manuals (EPMs) and Local airport authority directives, etc.
Familiarize with conducting On-Line Distance Learning Synchronous (DLS) training through MS Teams as one of the standardised platforms commonly used.
Invigilate Basic and Type training examinations as and when required and ensure examinees follow the prescribed SOPs and maintain standards and requirements in the Examination Hall in line with the Maintenance Training Organization Exposition (MTOE).
