Key Responsibilities for Engineering Host (HVAC)
- Install new HVAC systems, including ventilation, heating, and cooling units.
- Flexible enough to work in different shifts along with Handling of Guest request.
- Set up and commission units to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
- Regularly inspect and maintain HVAC equipment to prevent downtime.(chiller, Cooling tower, Pumps)
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on malfunctioning systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and refrigeration units.
- Test and adjust control systems to ensure consistent temperature and air quality.
- Should have hands on experience for Changing of Compressors and rectification of Split units.
- Respond promptly to service calls from hotel management or guests.
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff and guests to address HVAC-related issues and manage expectations.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, local codes, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Use of safe working practices in place.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Clear, professional interaction with guests and hotel staff.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in maintenance tasks, record-keeping, and regulatory compliance.
- To respond as quickly as possible to maintenance requests from both clients and colleagues.
- To maintain a shift logbook as a record for all occurrence during the assigned shift.
- To carry out preventive maintenance tasks whenever they are assigned making sure to fully complete the required documentation.
- To respond immediately to all emergency calls for leakage, fire, etc.
- To ensure the implementation of all instructions given by the Engineering Manager, Assistant Manager engineering or Team Leader Engineering.
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management desirable.
Minimum 2 years work experience as Technician in a hotel or 4 years in a similar large building/complex with central plant.
