Job Description

ROLE/PURPOSE Jobs at this level are responsible for creating an atmosphere conducive to achieving effective Management of several disciplines within the Projects Engineering Section of the Engineering Department by providing guidance on all design, engineering and technical matters, monitoring projects progress and ensuring compliance with established programmes, procedures and technical accuracy of engineering deliverables. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Functional Director of Project Engineering.
• Manages Project Engineering Management Function.
• Assigns SPEMs/PEMs to PM teams.
• Ensure that all systems, processes and resources within his area of responsibility are adequate in achieving the project delivery objectives.
• Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with company policies and standards and to ensure adherence to HSE and Quality Management requirements at all times.
• Identify audit requirements and recommend external audits when appropriate.
• Identify strategies and actions for continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for developing the engineering capabilities
• Manage the utilization of resources and the forecasting of future requirements.
• Recommend any changes required in engineering resources.
• Ensure Risks & Opportunities are effectively captured in the Risk Register by Engineering Department during Tendering/Project execution including corporate risks.
• Approval of Value Engineering Reports.
• Budget development.
• Quality Management procedures/ objectives.
• Approves tender inputs.
• Leads Client presentations.
• In-charge of Technical expertise & automation.
• Approves Engineering norms.
• Trains, motivates & develops staff.
• Compliance in accordance with HSE/QA Standard
Skills Required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• B.Sc. Engineering
• 15 years’ experience.
• Proven management track record.
• Organisational awareness.
• Planning & organising skills.
• Highly motivated.
• Leadership and Influencing skills.
• In depth knowledge of engineering disciplines in Oil & Gas industry.
• Knowledge of Engineering software & systems
• Excellent Written and spoken English.
• Excellent technical knowledge and Decision making skills.
• Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
