Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Coordinator to join our team So/ Uptown Dubai. As an Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering department's daily operations, ensuring smooth communication, and maintaining efficient administrative processes.


  • Assist in creating purchase orders and ordering materials for the Engineering department
  • Manage and monitor task management systems for engineering-related work orders
  • Schedule work with third-party contractors and oversee regular maintenance schedules
  • Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to maintain life safety and health-related documents
  • Process and track invoices for purchased items, contract labor, and service calls
  • Coordinate payroll processing and post schedules for the Engineering team
  • Participate actively in energy conservation programs and initiatives
  • Review guest and meeting planner feedback to identify and address issues promptly
  • Execute additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Engineering
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies related to engineering operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and task management systems
  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting required; luxury hotel experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
  • Basic understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and payroll processing
  • Familiarity with engineering department operations and maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of life safety and health-related documentation requirements
  • Understanding of energy conservation principles and practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Valid work authorization for the United Arab Emirates
