Job description



Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Energy Modeling Specialist to join our dynamic team. The specialist will be responsible for conducting energy modeling and analysis to support various projects aimed at optimizing energy efficiency, assessing renewable energy options, and achieving sustainability goals. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver accurate and insightful modeling results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST, IES VE) to simulate building performance and energy consumption.
- Analyze data and create detailed reports to support project decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate energy modeling into architectural and engineering design processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in energy modeling techniques.
- Assist in developing sustainable design strategies based on modeling outcomes.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST, IES VE, or similar tools. (1 to 2 years experience preferred)
- Familiarity with building codes, energy standards (ASHRAE 90.1, LEED, etc.), and sustainable design principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Profile



Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience in performing daylight modeling, Glare, thermal comfort.
- Certification in energy modeling (e.g., LEED GA/AP, ) is a plus.
