STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES , a leading firm specializing in forensic engineering for heavy industrial structures, is expanding its presence in Dubai. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Engineer to join our newly established Baton Rouge engineering team. As the first engineer in this location, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the local construction team and take the initiative to develop and expand the engineering team over the next several years. Strong support and collaboration will be provided by our teams based in Houston, Chicago, and Baltimore.
STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops engineered solutions that sustain and enhance infrastructure across a broad range of end-user markets. We serve owners and managers of infrastructure, as well as designers, engineers, and general contractors, across the U.S. and in select international markets.
Key Candidate Selection Criteria:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or related field of study with 2+ years of experience.
• Understands the sales process and consistently applies it in sales situations. Proficient in utilizing technical education and
relationship maintaining skills to move forward opportunities.
• Can prepare parts of project documents.
• Knowledgeable in the following software such as ETABS, SAFE, RAM Concept and MathCAD.
• Familiar with major regulations and industry codes and repair standards for site condition surveys and testing of existing concrete
structures. Understands technical and concrete deterioration issues.
• Demonstrates ability to develop long and short form proposals, and ability to support develop very complex proposals.
• Proficient at preparing and presenting a professional presentation based on acceptable industry standards and can field
questions.
• Understanding of basic contract/subcontract T&C. Evaluates risk exposure on projects managed.
• Strong computer proficiency (MS Office programs). Must possess strong math skills. Must demonstrate ability to read drawings.
Estimate spreadsheet knowledge. Possess advance scheduling skills.
• Possesses skills and experience that demonstrate leadership potential as illustrated through skill sets described herein. Displays
adherence to Company operating principles. Understands the concept of design build solutions.
