Job Description Job Summary:

The Electrician Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the hotel to ensure a safe and fully functional environment for guests and staff. This role involves troubleshooting electrical faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The technician must respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently while maintaining high service quality.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and power distribution.


  • Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.


  • Install and upgrade electrical components and systems as required.


  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.


  • Monitor and manage electrical maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion.


  • Assist with energy conservation efforts and recommend improvements for efficiency.


  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs.


  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate electrical maintenance without disrupting hotel operations.


  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical appliances and equipment, including kitchen and laundry machinery.


  • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to minimize workplace hazards.


Desired Skill & Expertise Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical maintenance or a related field preferred.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hospitality or commercial building environment.


  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures.


  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.


  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


  • Ability to work independently and handle emergency electrical repairs.


  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
