Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment specifically in outdoor and landscaping environments. This includes lighting systems, irrigation controllers, power outlets, and other electrically-powered features commonly used in landscaping projects. The Electrician will work closely with our landscape designers, project managers, and installation teams to ensure that all electrical installations meet safety standards and are fully operational.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation: Install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, electrical fixtures, and other components for outdoor lighting, water features, irrigation systems, and outdoor power outlets.
System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on all electrical systems within the landscape, ensuring all installations remain safe and functional.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to lighting, pumps, irrigation controllers, and other landscape systems.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local codes and safety regulations. Apply best practices for electrical safety, especially in outdoor settings.
Collaboration: Work closely with landscape architects, project managers, and other team members to implement electrical plans that align with the landscape design.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of all electrical installations, maintenance, repairs, and any parts used.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as an electrician, ideally with experience in outdoor or landscape-focused electrical work.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems, wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting techniques specific to outdoor environments.
Knowledge: Familiarity with the electrical requirements of landscape lighting, irrigation systems, water features, and other outdoor installations.
Safety-Oriented: Strong understanding of safety protocols related to electrical systems, especially in outdoor settings.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 25 kilos.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with landscape or irrigation control systems Knowledge of energy-efficient lighting options and solar-powered outdoor lighting* Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and explaining electrical solutions
