Operate and monitor the functions of the generator and report deficiencies to the concerned in charge.
Check the generator status and UPS status.
Take the transformer meter reading daily.
Maintain a logbook.
Make electrical modifications or renovations as necessary.
Coordinate with electrical inspections and other activities accurately.
Inspect the floor electrical rooms and distribution panels.
Change fuses and cables when required.
Rectify electrical problems in patients' rooms.
Carry out electrical wiring works.
Provide extra power sockets as needed.
Discuss daily work with the Head of Department (HOD).
Actively participate in planning for long-term system improvements.
Perform any related tasks as assigned by the superior.
Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management to meet these requirements.
Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and instructions, including specific responsibilities.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Notify OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues and assist in preparing risk assessments and incident reports.
Comply with waste management procedures and policies.
Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Maintain the building and facility in a safe manner.
Prepare building management plans and budgets.
Prepare for and participate in emergency management programs.
Provide expert advice and information on building and facility OSH matters.
Support the development of objectives and monitor the achievement of these objectives and compliance with HAAD Health Sector OSHMS requirements across all departments.
General Responsibilities:
Work all shifts as scheduled by the Head of Department.
Strictly adhere to the organization’s regulations and policies, especially those related to infection control, patient safety, HAAD, JCI, and ISO.
Support continuous quality improvement and participate in quality assurance activities.
Participate in scheduled in-service training programs.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills when dealing with department staff, associates, and management.
Maintain confidentiality as per the signed agreement.
Demonstrate active listening skills to promote effective communication.
Develop a thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures and show respect for them.
Perform other duties as requested by the Head of Department.
