We are looking for a very skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer for one of our Sail company client in Al Ain.An Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising electrical systems and components. They ensure that electrical systems, devices, and equipment function efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. Electrical Engineers work in various industries, including energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, and construction.
Key Responsibilities:Design and Development
- Design electrical systems and components based on client requirements and technical specifications.
- Create and develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit designs.
- Use simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or SolidWorks) to model electrical systems and test designs.
Project Management and Planning
- Plan and coordinate electrical engineering projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Oversee the installation and testing of electrical systems.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required specifications and safety standards.
System Analysis and Optimization
- Conduct analysis of electrical systems, identifying inefficiencies or areas for improvement.
- Recommend solutions for improving energy efficiency, reducing electrical consumption, and enhancing system performance.
Installation and Supervision
- Supervise the installation of electrical equipment, wiring, and infrastructure at construction sites or within facilities.
- Ensure that electrical installations comply with safety codes, regulations, and standards (such as the National Electric Code).
Testing and Troubleshooting
- Perform routine inspections, tests, and diagnostics on electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical problems or failures in circuits, equipment, or devices.
Maintenance and Repairs
- Develop maintenance schedules for electrical systems to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
- Perform repairs on electrical equipment and systems when required.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that electrical work is performed in a safe and secure manner.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with other engineers (e.g., mechanical, civil) and technicians to ensure the smooth operation of interdisciplinary projects.
- Work with suppliers, contractors, and clients to meet project requirements.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, manuals, and documentation for electrical systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide detailed documentation for maintenance and system updates.
Research and Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering technologies and trends.
- Research and implement innovative solutions to improve existing electrical systems or to develop new technologies.
Qualifications:Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering) is required.
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or specialized certifications (e.g., Power Systems, Electronics) is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuit design, and power systems.
- Proficiency with electrical design and simulation software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, etc.).
- Experience in designing low and high voltage systems, lighting systems, control systems, or communication systems.
Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Ability to diagnose electrical problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
Project Management:
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
- Experience in managing timelines, budgets, and resources in engineering projects.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, suppliers, and other engineering teams.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail:
- Meticulous attention to detail in electrical design, installation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and safety.
Adaptability and Learning:
- Ability to keep up with evolving technologies and new industry standards.
Experience:- Entry-Level (1-3 years): A recent graduate with relevant internships or hands-on training in electrical systems, design, or troubleshooting.
- Mid-Level (3-7 years): A professional with experience in electrical design, system optimization, and project management.
- Senior-Level (7+ years): Extensive experience in leading complex projects, developing new electrical systems, and providing technical expertise in electrical engineering.
Work Environment:- Electrical Engineers can work in offices, laboratories, construction sites, factories, or power plants.
- The role may involve working in hazardous environments (e.g., high-voltage areas), requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.
- Travel may be required for site visits or installations.
