About the job ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team for a water treatment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. This role involves working closely with other engineers and project managers to ensure the smooth execution of the project from conception to completion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design electrical systems for water treatment facilities, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and process engineers.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Oversee the installation of electrical systems and components.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation and commissioning.
- Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for electrical systems.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel.
- Ensure all electrical systems are maintained in good working condition and comply with safety standards.
- Ensure all electrical systems and components are installed and maintained in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in water treatment or related industry.
- Proven experience in designing and managing electrical systems for large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in electrical engineering and safety are a plus.
