Summary: The eCommerce Operations Manager Manager will oversee the end-to-end logistics and inventory management for our eCommerce business, focusing on optimizing warehouse performance, controlling logistics budgets, and improving shipping efficiency. This role is critical in ensuring that our products are stored, managed, and delivered to customers quickly and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate will build strong vendor partnerships, create customized shipping solutions across regions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Distribution Center Coordination
- Manage day-to-day operations of all distribution centers.
- Ensure smooth and efficient logistics processes across all centers.
- Coordinate inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
2. Carrier Performance Monitoring
- Oversee and monitor the performance of all carriers used across the business.
- Analyze shipping data and carrier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and catch-up meetings with carriers to address issues and optimize service.
3. Express Shipping Solutions
- Explore and implement express shipping options for B2C customers across all regions.
- Negotiate and establish partnerships with express shipping providers to ensure fast and cost - effective delivery.
4. Global Partner Identification
- Identify and evaluate potential logistics and shipping partners worldwide.
- Develop partnerships with providers that offer reliable and efficient shipping services.
- Focus on finding partners who can offer new services such as same-day delivery while maintaining controlled costs.
5. Operational Efficiency and Cost Control
- Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement strategies to reduce shipping costs without compromising service quality.
- Monitor and manage logistics budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
6. Service Expansion
- Explore opportunities to expand and enhance our shipping and delivery services.
- Develop and implement new service offerings such as same-day delivery to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to promote new shipping services.
