Job Description
- Fabricate and assemble ductwork systems, including ducts, fittings, and related components according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Inspect and test fabricated ducts and systems to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from defects.
- Select and handle appropriate materials and tools for duct fabrication, including cutting, bending, and welding.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the dimensions and configuration of duct systems.
- Assemble and install ductwork systems, including connecting ducts to other components and ensuring proper alignment and sealing.
- Ensure that all fabricated and installed ductwork adheres to project specifications and industry standards.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
- Work with other trades and engineers to integrate ductwork systems into larger projects and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication and installation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or diploma in duct fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a duct fabricator in the oil and gas industry. Experience with large-scale projects is an advantage.
