About the Job:


An opportunity has arisen for a Door Attendant to join our Front Office Team


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • To give a warm welcome to each guest arriving and entering the hotel, with a smile and by name if known.
  • To bid a sincere farewell to each guest departing from the hotel and inviting them to return, with a smile and by name if known.
  • To call for taxis and open car doors for guests.
  • To assist guest with unloading and loading of luggage.
  • To assist and co-ordinate with the valet attendants to ensure a clean and free driveway.
  • To ensure that all guests are given a friendly, courteous, informative, and efficient service.
  • To be a source of information to visitors in Dubai. 
  • To assist the Team Leader and Guest Service Executives, ensuring that all guest luggage, mails, deliveries, faxes are delivered in a timely, professional, and efficient manner, by following the department’s processes, as well as ensuring that they are handled responsibly and with care.
  • To assist the reception team in Physical room checks Add a high-level synopsis of the role, level, and scope of responsibility consisting of three or four sentences displaying a basic understanding, the “bird’s eye view” of the role. A concise summary of “why the job exists?
  • To assist Service One in wake-up calls
  • Ensure the luggage services ensuring a smooth and efficient operation with no delay or damage.
  • Maintains the privacy of all guests by ensuring that we follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Follow the PCI (Payment Card Industry) policy and procedure
  • Follow FRAUD PREVENTION policy and procedure
  • Ensure that complaints are attended to promptly and handled in a professional manner according to Jumeirah standards.
  • Report for duty punctually and wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
  • Ensure that all the necessary reports and resources are available to perform all duties to Jumeirah standards.
  • Ensure that accurate records are being kept for i.e. luggage storage, Check-In and Check-Out, Fax Message deliveries, etc.
  • Store guest’s luggage according to the hotel’s SOPs.
  • Assist the Concierge Guest Service colleagues with their duties as and when required.
  • Have high product knowledge about Jumeirah hotels and facilities.
  • Participate in the concierge of the year competition.
  • Performs all other related duties as required or requested by the Front Office Manager or other management.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel functions

QUALIFICATIONS


Essential 


  • Able to communicate effectively and to respond well (switched on) to questions and requests.
  • Well-groomed/presented.
  • Enthusiastic and eager
  • Portrays self-confidence.
  • Well versed spoken and written English, assertive communication style
  • Additional Language: Arabic, Russian or European language
  • Well-groomed and presented.

  • Able to work in a team, i.e. caring about other team members and different nationalities.
  • Should be a quick learner and able to adapt to a new environment, measurable or observable knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or behaviors that is needed to succeed in performing the job.

About you: 


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Min 01-year Hotel Experience in Front Office/Concierge.
  • Basic Computer Knowledge, i.e. Internet 
  • Accustomed to handling customer complaints.
  • Cross training in Concierge Add the minimum number of full-time/part-time experiences needed (number of years) and the type of work experience required to be qualified for the job.
