Job Description



Job Purpose:



Support the Wealth Planning and Trust Services Department with the principal aim of delivering comprehensive integrated solutions to private clients of FAB Global Private Banking and helping to enhance and promote the activity and the wider value proposition of Global Private Banking

JOB CONTEXT/ DIMENSIONS:



Responsible for advising the private clients in relation to their estate planning needs. Partner with Relationship Managers and other FAB team members to engage with clients, on a reverse and proactive manner, and support them and the Business by identifying, understanding and addressing their estate planning needs with relevant solutions.

TASKS:



Meeting clients with relationship managers, acting as a technical expert to develop and present client propositions including bespoke solutions with a holistic approach, and to coordinate the implementation of these solutions, including liaising with relevant third parties such as client representatives, external legal and tax advisors and service providers as per business needs.
Coordinate with the relevant relationship managers and other product experts to deliver comprehensive advice and integrated solutions to clients on matters related but not limited to succession and legacy planning, family governance, global tax planning, asset preservation, structuring of investments such as real estate, aircraft and other asset class using trusts, foundations and other estate planning vehicles.
Work in concert with Insurance specialists to assess clients' financial situations and provide comprehensive advice to clients on retirement planning, estate and legacy planning, taxation, liquidity planning, key executive person cover planning, protection planning against other risks through life insurance protection solutions including Jumbo Life insurance plans, Premium Financing on Jumbo Life insurance policies, wealth solutions through third party unit-linked investment and insurance plans of providers.
Following up on proposed solutions and any implemented structures as appropriate. Embedding of enablement functions such as legal, risk and compliance in all appropriate aspects.
Staying up-to-date on relevant regional and international legal, political, tax and economic developments and apply this knowledge to the clients’ solutions, bearing in mind their personal situation, requirements and needs.
Enhancing the awareness and understanding of wealth planning solutions amongst the relationship managers. Supporting and/or conducting briefing/training sessions for relationship managers and other individuals/teams as per business needs.
Coordinating with Team members, other FAB stakeholders and relevant third-party service providers in relation to client business and other initiatives as appropriate.
Working closely with other members of the Products and Investment Solutions Team and/or other product experts within the bank to deliver relevant solutions as per business needs.
Participating in meetings and/or other FAB venues as nominated by the Head of Wealth Planning and Trust Services, and/or the Head of Investment Products & Solutions, and/or the Management.

Qualifications



Academic/Professional Qualifications:



A degree in Law, Tax, Finance, Economics, Estate Planning studies and/or Business Administration is a requirement

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



Excellent knowledge of the legal systems of strategic jurisdictions for high net-worth individuals investors, in terms of legal regimes and regulations applicable to individuals and corporations in specific areas (Taxation, family law, real estate, company Law, etc.), in particular, knowledge relating to estate planning, trust services, succession/inheritance and governance, restructuring/consolidation, financing, legal, tax, and insurance;
At least 5 to 7+ years in a combination of legal, trust services, estate planning, insurance/finance and client advisory work experience;
STEP qualification (from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and any other relevant professional license/certification is a must;
Team player with a positive disposition to work and cooperate well with other peers and superiors as well as clients and external partners as appropriate;
Ability to view wealth planning and trust services holistically and integrate various private banking-related products and solutions;
Ability to operate independently under supervision, report activity with transparency and receive constructive feedback with a positive attitude;
Possess excellent client-centric and interpersonal skills;
Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written);
Possess a natural intellectual curiosity and a “think-out-of-the box” mindset;
Fluent in English is a must. Competence in other languages such as Arabic is a plus.
