Role Summary
The Director of Project Strategy and Planning is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of strategic project planning processes within the Air and Sea and Projects organization. This role involves ensuring Projects align with the company’s overall strategic goals, adequate coordination with different Project and divisional teams and driving optimal project execution across Projects. The Director will develop frameworks for managing project lifecycles, standardize DSV’s submissions and communication with NEOM, oversee project schedules and progress, and ensure resource allocation and timelines are met. Additionally, this position requires collaborating with senior leadership to evaluate and prioritize projects based on strategic value. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in English and preferably possess a background in similar tasks, construction engineering, or logistics to ensure a thorough understanding of the technical verbiage.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning:
o Develop and implement strategic project management methodologies and tools.
o Align project initiatives with the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
o Work closely with executive leadership to identify strategic project priorities.
o Monitor project schedules and project procurement initiatives to adapt strategies and alignment between the DSV divisions.
o Ensure the appropriate prioritization of projects, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategies.
• Leadership & Collaboration:
o Lead and mentor a team of project managers and planners.
o Foster cross-functional collaboration across DSV divisions (e.g., Air & Sea, Road and Solutions) and Central Strategy and Planning team to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
o Establish clear communication channels with stakeholders at all levels.
• Risk Management & Problem Solving:
o Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Anticipate and address operational challenges in the project planning process.
o Ensure timely problem resolution and project adjustment where necessary.
• Reporting and Analytics:
o Develop reporting mechanisms to track and communicate project progress to senior leadership.
o Analyze project outcomes and use data to inform future strategies and improvements.
o Provide recommendations for process improvements and project efficiencies.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, or Strategy preferred.
Experience
• 8-10 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or related roles.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and multiple projects/initiatives.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and large-scale project execution.
