Job Description
Job Purpose
The job holder will lead the preparation of master project plans, schedules, and master resource estimate statements based on project specifications and timelines and ensure regular update of the master project plans so that they accurately reflect project progress as per strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development of project schedules and identify product and service activities during project execution in-order to apply work breakdown structures as per project roadmap.
- Plan and provide cost control support for all projects, determine resource utilization on each project and present variances from resource utilization schedules to finalize master project plan and complete gaps.
- Conduct project schedule reviews, monitor project costs and projections against budgets; determine areas of delay so that the corrective action may be initiated inorder to ensure project progress as per schedule.
- Liaise with Project Delivery Team to prepare high-level detailed project plan, resource requirements, utilization schedules and variances to resolve project issues and ensure timely delivery/completion of the project work.
- Review and analyze proposed construction schedules and timelines in-order to prepare high-level project schedules.
- Obtain project status reports from the Project Delivery team on all current projects and update master project plan accordingly to ensure that project plan reflects progress.
- Prepare master development programme sequence, track main challenges/ risk factors and update schedules and forecasts to reflect the project changes and trends.
- Drive the Planning Team to ensure applying & providing planning services as per DHRE requirement.
- Provide direction/guidance and motivate subordinates across the team to enhance skills and performance and produce quality work; ensure that subordinates are continuously developed for higher levels.
- Prepare performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess sub-ordinates productivity and progress and identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices.
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and professional certification such as Project Engineering (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Minimum 10-12 years’ experience, with at least 5 years’ experience at a managerial level in a Project Management department for a large property developer.
