Job Description

Sales Opportunity: Director of Student Experience – MESA region

We are seeking a driven and dynamic Director of Student Experience to oversee the applicant journey and ensure student retention throughout the enrollment process. Based in Dubai, UAE, this role combines leadership with hands-on management to create a seamless experience for candidates from application to enrollment. Leveraging tools like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Generative AI, you will ensure candidates experience a top-tier admissions journey.

In this senior role, you will collaboratively manage the pipeline with the Application Manager, sharing responsibilities during the peak application phase from October to May. While you will take the lead on strategic initiatives, the Application Manager will support daily operations, allowing for a cohesive approach to both application management and retention efforts from April to September. Your focus will be on ensuring a seamless experience for candidates while actively engaging them to reduce dropout rates and foster a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application Management (October to May):

  • Directtheadmissionsexperience to ensure speedy reviews and timely decisions for candidates.

  • Guide candidates through the admissions journey, ensuring they submit required documents, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional LinkedIn profile.

  • Review applications for completeness and eligibility, recommending improvements to enhance submission quality before Admissions review.

  • Collaborate with Product Heads, Regional Heads, and VPs to expand the pool of qualified Hult alumni for interviews, ensuring sufficient interviewers are available to meet demand surges after each deadline.

  • Match candidates with suitable alumni interviewers based on compatibility for enriching experiences.

  • Manage interview logistics, ensuring interviewers have relevant candidate information and coordinated schedules.

  • Support the VP of Enrollment Operations to ensure prompt invoicing from alumni for efficient payment times.

  • Lead and collaborate on the organization of conversion events, such as campus and online Open Houses and “Ask Anything” sessions.

  • Assist candidates and their families in navigating financial aid processes, ensuring accurate completion of forms and timely responses.

  • Foster strong relationships with applicants, encouraging referrals and maintaining regular communication to enhance the admissions experience.

Retention Management (April to September):

  • Monitor and enhance student engagement leading up to program start dates, implementing strategies to prevent dropouts.

  • Coordinate with the Enrollment Advisors to ensure timelycollections to support organizational KPIs for on-time tuition payments.

  • Coordinate with the visa team to assist candidates in collecting and verifying necessary documents for a smooth transition to campus.


  • Work with campus teams and the VP of Enrollment Operations to establish arrival dates, clearly communicating expectations to students and families for successful onboarding.

  • Conduct pre-departure sessions on financing, visas, accommodation, and other essential information for candidates and their families.

  • Organize social events for confirmed students to facilitate connections before their arrival at Hult.

  • Serve as the regional detailsexpert, providing comprehensive guidance to colleagues, students, and families regarding all program aspects.

  • Foster a collaborative culture within the team, ensuring the Application Manager has the resources and support to excel.

Financial Aid & Scholarships Management

  • Standardize Financial Aid & Scholarships Process: Lead the enforcement of a clear, consistent, and transparent process for managing financial aid and scholarships, ensuring clarity throughout the admissions journey, using tools like the Declaration of Finance, scholarship essays, awarding panels and any other creative solution.

  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with Regional Heads and Product Heads to maintain alignment on financial aid budgets, ensuring that awards are distributed efficiently and in line with organizational financial goals.

  • Brand Integrity: Uphold the integrity of Hult's brand by ensuring financial aid is seen as a tool for accessibility and opportunity, rather than a bargaining chip. Ensure that all discussions around financial aid maintain the premium positioning of the program and do not devalue the Hult brand.

  • Monitor Competitors: Regularly track and analyze financial aid and scholarship strategies from competing schools to ensure Hult remains competitive and forward-thinking, adjusting our approach to stay ahead in the market.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and metrics to evaluate financial aid impact, making informed decisions that help maintain budget discipline while achieving enrollment goals.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in admissions or student services.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for building rapport and trust with students, families, and colleagues.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


  • Customer-focused with a high level of empathy, capable of understanding and addressing student needs through active listening.

  • Goal-oriented and resilient, with a passion for exceeding targets and fostering student success.

  • Adaptable, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business development, education, or a related field is a plus.
