About the Job:
As Director of Revenue Management, you will direct the execution of the propertiy's revenue management strategy by adjusting inventory and pricing strategies, distribution channels and product offerings to ensure the property remains competitive, while maximizing RevPAR.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the design and direct the implementation of the SBU’s Revenue Management strategy, in line with the corporate revenue management strategy, steering efforts towards the maximization of profitability.
- Oversee the assessment and evaluation of the SBU’s competition and guest preferences as well as economic variables affecting supply and demand or price elasticity to develop accurate operational and financial forecasts.
- Direct the management of the Business Units product and services offerings (rooms, spa, catering, packages etc.) and ensure that product offers and rates are continuously adjusted to demand to maximize RevPAR and profitability throughout the year.
- Direct the application of appropriate inventory management and pricing strategies to ensure that seasonal and day-of-week demand peaks are smoothed, and that the property can continuously grow its Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR).
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of the SBU’s key revenue performance metrics (occupancy levels, RevPAR, etc.), in order provide visibility on its financial performance and to formulate corrective action when required.
- Coordinate with regional and corporate Revenue Management Colleagues to identify and capitalize on revenue generating opportunities for the SBU and to ensure knowledge transfer and alignment in revenue management efforts.
- Direct the SBU’s evaluation of opportunities for contracted business (group, wholesale, corporate negotiated, etc.), in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing department, to ensure that all opportunities are scrutinized for strategic intent and expected profitability.
- Manage the effective achievement of objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing colleagues, and providing formal and informal feedback to maximize overall performance and team motivation while continuing to deploy resources effectively for growth and further strengthening the colleague value proposition.
- Motivate subordinates and identify opportunities for participating in change initiatives, programs and projects considering international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Monitor RevPAR index and provide critical analysis of SBU performance. Lead the SBU revenue team in the development of long and short-term strategies to address any deficiencies and to contribute to the ongoing growth of RevPAR market share.
- Perform unconstrained demand analysis to determine optimal business mix for SBU. Considering optimal and forecasted levels of business from each market segment, work with the Director of Business Development to direct the SBU’s sales efforts accordingly.
- Direct and oversee the SBU to advances in system contribution through optimization of business mix and the effective and accurate management of the SBU’s rates, inventory, and content in all distribution channels. Leverage the expertise of the Jumeirah Group’s Distribution Marketing function towards these ends.
- Develop and maintain a close relationship with the market manager of Third-Party Intermediaries to maximize the opportunities with these channels.
- Champion the Revenue Management discipline within the SBU, ensuring that all personnel directly involved in the generation of rooms revenue understand essential Revenue Management principles and concepts.
- Provide requisite training and development, contributing to the development of a Revenue Management culture within the Jumeirah Group.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
- 10-12 years of revenue management experience, preferably with an international hospitality company.
- Extensive property and revenue maximization experience.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and innovation skills, with a deep understanding of commercial trends, hotel operations, demand forecasting, pricing, and profitability optimization, alongside exceptional analytical and interpersonal abilities.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University is a plus.
- Proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak – Essential)
