Director of Human Resources



Job Summary:



The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of JA Resorts & Hotels. This includes areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development and compensation. Director of HR will oversee the HR function for all JA Resorts & Hotels, ensuring compliance with employment regulations and creating a positive work environment that supports the hotel's mission and values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive and implement a comprehensive people, culture strategy that supports JARH mission, values and HR/business goals. Lead and administer all HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, benefits and enforce company policies and practices. Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates that align with the service delivery focus. Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction and retention. Develop internal communications strategies to ensure effective communication to all parts of the business to drive an empowered workforce culture. Develop strategies to create an inclusive workplace that values and respects individual differences and experiences. Provide expert professional advice to senior management in all areas of HR, including payroll, learning and development, employment law, HR policy, best practice and workforce development. Develop effective employment policies in consultation with senior managers and executives. Provide professional leadership, support and development to HR associates, in order to increase knowledge, share best practice and ensure professional standards are met. Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Conduct regular audits of HR practices and policies to ensure compliance.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a Senior leadership role Experience with HRIS and other HR technology platforms. Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
