About the Job: 


An opportunity has arisen for a Director - Learning and Development in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Prepare annual training plans aligned with organizational requirements, ensuring that training initiatives support business objectives.
  • Establish processes to ensure that training initiatives are effectively communicated to and delivered across all Jumeirah properties, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Promote standardization of core training programs while allowing flexibility for adjustments at a local level where necessary to meet specific needs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and proactively initiate changes to programs to improve effectiveness as needed.
  • Design and conduct organizational development programs that contribute to the development of the organization's culture and capabilities.
  • Ensure learning opportunities are in place to facilitate both vertical and horizontal development of colleagues, preparing them for internal transfers and career growth.
  • Document and communicate training initiatives to relevant departments, ensure clear communication of course offerings, and utilize available communication channels effectively.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of programs offered by training teams, ensure trainers possess necessary skills and knowledge, further develop, and enhance the use of learning technologies, and oversee maintenance of the Learning website as a central information hub for Training and Development.
  • Oversee strategic quality initiatives, identifying gaps in operational requirements and elevating the definition of quality and service standards in the hotel. 

About You: 


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or any other relevant field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail
