Job Description

Job Purpose


The job holder will be pivotal in driving digital transformation and change within the assigned business vertical, fostering innovation and enhancing operational efficiencies. Lead the evolution of technology capabilities into a strategic enabler for the business, spearheading digital initiatives and ensuring the delivery of impactful outcomes.


Key Accountabilities


  • Lead the successful delivery of the IT portfolio by leveraging appropriate agile delivery methodologies while focusing on maintaining high standards of quality and predictability, while continuously striving to improve the portfolio's performance.
  • Manage Business Applications and optimize productivity by fostering a flexible and adaptable work environment that can quickly respond to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Understand overall architecture, business capabilities and alignment with corporate initiatives in order to assist in removing impairments that may obstruct achieving DHLE’S goals.
  • Actively partner with Product, Architecture and Technology stakeholders to align solutions with program objectives and enable transformation of IT delivery models within an Agile delivery culture
  • Apply complex facilitation and dependency management techniques to drive cross-program and departmental planning, collaboration, and coordination
  • Advance Business, Technology and Operations leadership’s understanding of their respective roles within Agile delivery and influence organizational agility
  • Optimize strategic flow of delivery across business and technology by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement with measurable outcomes.
  • Identify disruptive trends early and work with Business leaders on incorporating them into company operations and innovation strategy. 
  • Deliver and maintain existing and new Salesforce business applications across the business vertical and ensure that the applications are scalable, robust, and secure, and that they meet all relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Support issue resolution and risk mitigation related to the Salesforce Business applications portfolio by proactively identifying potential risks and issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies. Escalate to advisory and steering committee groups, as needed.
  • Help establish governance structure and anticipate and manage risks associated with technology delivery.
  • Prepare and monitor IT capital and operational budgets for assigned portfolio. Balance between and keeping pace with technology developments, business strategy, competitive landscape, evolving customer needs, and initiative goals/deadlines.
  • Partner with technical leaders and others to support organization’s automation (testing, pipelines, deployments)
  • Execute through alignment to the new digital operating model and working with cross‐functional squads orchestrating continuous value delivery through release planning increments.
  • Persuade the value of adopting Digitalization within the vertical business, and to our external partners and customers by developing business cases, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and presenting to senior stakeholders, both within and outside of the organization.
  • Ensure that agile best practices are adopted with continuous coaching on adaptive, iterative methods such as scrum and Kanban, facilitating frequent demos and empowering teams to solve problems. o Ensure positive customer experience and promote a culture focused on ensuring customer needs are met o Identify disruptive trends early and work with Business leaders on incorporating and mitigating them into company operations and innovation strategy
  • Drive innovation and enable the development of new and innovative solutions within the assigned business vertical and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, and use this knowledge to anticipate future business needs and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Promote a “customer-first” mentality at all levels of the IT organization.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and skills development via workshops, hands on coaching engagements and driver of the digital delivery communities of practice.
  • Build digital talent across assigned squads through successful talent attraction, development and succession planning working closely with Head of Business Technology and Head of Digital Services.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and value add; inspire creative thinking whilst focusing on outcome and value to meet DHLE’s objectives.

Minimum Qualifications 


Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Management / Technology Systems ;  MBA preferred


Professional certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) – a plus


Minimum Experience 


  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in leading complex global transformations with atleast 6years experience in scrum/project management/delivery management or an associated area leading complex, major change initiatives.
  • Must possess a deep understanding of the product development cycle from project inception to final delivery and continuous delivery. Strong track record of as a senior agile delivery leader for high profile complex organizations
