About The Role The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing the operations of all food and beverage services within the organization, ensuring a high-quality experience for guests while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency. This leadership role manages all F&B departments, including dining rooms, bars, catering, and event services. The Director ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and strives for continuous improvement in service standards, menu offerings, and cost control. The Director of Food & Beverage plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience and financial success of the F&B operation. This individual will be expected to provide leadership, set high operational standards, and drive profitability while maintaining a focus on exceptional customer service and team development. Key Duties and Responsibilities   •    Develops a food & beverage operating strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads its execution. •    Ensures that regular, ongoing communication is happening in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings, staff meetings, culinary team). •    Identifies key drivers of business success and keeps the team focused on the critical few to achieve results; ensures integration of departmental goals in game plans. •    Champions change, ensures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented, and communicates follow-up actions to the team as necessary., •    Researches and analyzes new products and pricing and services of competition.  Introduces ideas to the leadership team to enable the property to remain competitive. •    Works with direct reports to review business in-house and potential business in the surrounding area and troubleshoot potential challenges/conflicts; encourages calculated risk-taking to generate incremental revenue and deliver superior service •    Complies with all franchised/licensed/brand standards •    Understands and executes all brand food, beverage, and product specifications. •    Works with direct reports to develop promotions, food and wine pairings, menu items, and presentations. •    Ensures food, beverage, china, glass, and silver inventory levels are kept in accordance with corporate guidelines •    Creates an atmosphere in all food and beverage areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations •    Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards •    Ensures compliance with government regulations •    Ensures that regular, ongoing communication is happening in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings and staff meetings) •    Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service and operational needs are met •    Communicates and executes departmental and hotel emergency procedures

Experience & Educational Requirements •     A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. •     At least 5-7 years of experience in food and beverage management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. •     Proven experience in managing a multi-outlet F&B operation. •     Strong financial acumen with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets and improve profitability. •     Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. •     Strong knowledge of food and beverage trends, including culinary techniques and beverage pairings. •     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. •     Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. •     Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, and other F&B management tools.
