Dubai Holding is looking to hire a Senior Manager – Funds reporting to the Vice President – Funds. The role holder’s will be responsible for working closely with the Executive Director in originating, evaluating and executing primary investments in funds (private equity, private credit, infrastructure, venture capital and other asset classes) and secondaries (both LP and GP led transactions). The role holder will also be responsible for portfolio management, investments monitoring and reporting.

Key Accountabilities:
Research and origination
- Support the origination of secondary (main focus) and primary investments globally through an extensive network of regional and global private equity funds, advisors and research firms.
- Monitor market developments, identify key trends and conduct market mapping exercises.
- Keep track of investment opportunities, maintain investments pipeline and update forward calendar.
- Research key trends affecting the current macro-economic trends, and target segments to provide insights on the portfolio construction and the capital allocation.
Investment evaluation and recommendation
- Evaluate prospective secondary and primary investments, including fund manager analysis, track record evaluation, benchmarking, financial modelling, valuation, industry research and sensitivity analysis.
- Participate in due diligence meetings with GPs and reference calls with LPs.
- Coordinate key analysis work-streams of prospective fund commitments and secondary investments, including legal, tax, operational due diligence and ESG.
- Develop clear presentations in relation to analysis and research performed in order to communicate findings to management to make recommendations on investment opportunities.
Transaction execution and governance
- Liaise with internal and external counterparties including on the negotiation of relevant legal agreements (LPAs, Side Letters, SPA, etc) and investment structures.
- Support as appropriate execution of investments, including finalizing investment documents and terms, acquisition of final approval documentation as per DHI governance framework.
Portfolio management, monitoring and reporting
- Continuously monitor fund performance and ensure investments are aligned the approved mandate and within the predefined risk parameters.
- Provide DH management regular updates to assess the investment performance and prepare and release relevant reports to provide management with timely information for effective decision making.
- Monitor and analyse market developments and market risk exposure on the investment portfolio.
- Prepare periodic reporting packs for the senior management, both at DHI level and wider DH ecosystem.
Stakeholder management
- Lead the identification and selection of a roster of external advisors and research firms to support with all development of insights and execution of transactions.
- Build relationships and maintain strong partnerships with existing and new advisors, GPs and LPs.
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in primaries and/or secondaries at a leading fund of funds, secondaries firm or investment bank
Education / Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from top universities
- MBA or CFA preferred
Technical Competencies:
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills
- Strong commercial judgment
- A team-player, with maturity, integrity and the ability to engage with senior counterparties
