The role of the Designer at Teneo is to create, edit and generally assist with design collateral across the company, lifting the quality of production wherever possible.
A Designer at Teneo is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our clients. A Designer will be proactive in providing support, responding to the needs of the business and requests of clients. They will work on their own or as an extension of a client team as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of the Design Team to develop design deliverables that turn ideas into reality and solve business challenges / objectives (e.g. pitches/reports and infographics). Considers other demands when planning their work.
- Is flexible and adaptable in taking on tasks or supporting colleagues when required.
- Proactive in identifying design needs and finding solutions.
- Good understanding of client activity/requirements and anticipates next steps/needs without being directed.
- Ensures standards of work and processes are adhered to by following correct admin and using required paperwork -e.g. design briefing documents.
- Flexible, adaptable, reliable and prompt when taking on tasks or supporting colleagues when required.
- Takes time to ensure briefs are understood to produce the correct deliverables in a high quality and timely manner.
- Working directly with and supporting the Senior Vice President to understand how much time will be needed for tasks. Contributes to the administrative overview of all work being done and resource available.
- Increasingly seen as a role model acting on feedback and able to provide constructive feedback to improve outputs and quality.
Required Experience
- Degree/Diploma in design or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Competent user of Adobe Creative Suite software, across Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Confident in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Arabic language proficiency required.
- Competent standard of English and Maths, understands how to present data visually.
- A strong portfolio showing a thorough understanding of presentations and digital graphic design.
- Wide design knowledge that can be applied to varied projects / challenges. Open to learning new abilities and spots openings in the business to apply fresh skills and techniques.
- Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment within established processes.
- Experience of working within set brand guidelines.
- Maintains high standards of quality to produce accurate/ correct outputs.

- Works well with clients – can take a brief, suggest ideas, manage expectations and regularly check in throughout to ensure the client or team are happy with the direction of travel, through to final delivery.
- Consistently demonstrates desire to set and meet high standards of quality by learning new skills/design techniques. Takes responsibility for own development to upgrade skills.
- Calm under pressure and bounces back from set-backs. Presents a positive outlook and is seen as committed and enthusiastic. Takes critique even-handedly and learns from feedback.
- Liaises with suppliers and clients when required. Can attend client meetings or participate in conference calls if that will help a project’s progress. Gives guidance on production queries e.g. external printing.
- Supports a learning culture and plays an active role in sharing knowledge and insight. Contributes to running training courses and creating learning initiatives. Coaches colleagues in brand usage and general design.
