Job Description
Design and develop fire alarm system layouts in compliance with local codes and standards, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire alarm projects, factoring in materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to finalize project specifications and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations. Utilize advanced design software and tools to create detailed schematics and plans for fire alarm installations. Review and interpret technical specifications and drawings to provide insightful input during project planning phases. Compile and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and permits required for fire alarm installations. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and adherence to project schedules. Provide technical support and training to installation teams, ensuring they understand the design intent and installation requirements. Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and legislation affecting fire alarm systems to continuously enhance design practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire alarm design and estimation, with a proven track record of successful project completions. Experience working in the construction or engineering industry, specifically in fire protection systems, is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software to create precise fire alarm system layouts. Strong analytical skills to assess complex technical requirements and develop effective design solutions. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
