A little taste of your day-to-day: Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes for Ancora restaurant, ensuring high-quality standards. Support the Chef de Partie in managing the kitchen's daily operations, including food preparation and overseeing kitchen staff. Supervise a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and guidelines. Collaborate with the culinary team to create and maintain an appealing and diverse menu. Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely manner and meet the hotel’s quality standards. Monitor stock levels and assist in managing inventory, ensuring minimal wastage and efficient use of ingredients. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work atmosphere. Assist with special events, buffets, and other dining experiences as required. Respond promptly to guest feedback and requests, ensuring guest satisfaction.Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in an ala carte restaurant. Culinary diploma or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations. Commitment to maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other departments. Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in a kitchen environment. Ability to contribute ideas for menu development and culinary innovation.
