Job Description

Overview 


We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Delivery Manager to join our team. The Delivery Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects and services, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires excellent project management skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities


Project Planning and Execution:


  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.

Team Coordination and Leadership:


  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, set clear goals, and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, address issues, and ensure alignment on project objectives.

Client and Stakeholder Management:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
  • Communicate project updates, deliverables, and potential risks to clients and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Gather client requirements and feedback to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

Quality Assurance:


  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet high standards of quality and performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of project outputs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and company policies.

Risk Management:


  • Identify potential risks and issues related to project delivery and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, taking proactive steps to minimize their impact.
  • Maintain a risk register and ensure all risks are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the project team and across the organization.
  • Gather feedback from clients, team members, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to improve future project delivery. 

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in project management, delivery management, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks.
