Job Description
Job Purpose
Responsible for reviewing and analyzing defects within the AAG Fleet to ensure operational performance is maintained at optimal levels; ensures continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various departments to identify and rectify recurring or critical technical issues efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Review all defects within the AAG Fleet to identify critical and repetitive issues that may impact operational performance.
- Provide recommendations for rectification with minimal cost and effort.
- Maintain an operator database of in-service troubleshooting experience to ensure efficient defect resolution. Ensures continuous monitoring of A/C outstanding and recurring defects.
- Monitors the Aircraft Technical Logbooks related to the status of Deferred & Repetitive Defects.
- Monitors online real-time aircraft fault reporting data systems.
- Review aircraft health monitoring / predictive modules for trends affecting operational performance and liaise with engineering regarding matters of concern.
- Review post-closure events to determine if technical issues are fully resolved or require further action.
- Evaluate mitigation plans, including setting up prevention programs, internal parts pool reviews, and facility assessments.
Key Result Responsibilities - Continued
- Release technical notices based on in-service experience in coordination with Engineering.
- Act as the single point of contact for managing Critical MEL and recurrent defect actions.
- Attends the daily aircraft operation production meeting and reviews the operational / maintenance status of fleet aircraft and initiates necessary action in association with various Department.
- Review component removals in conjunction with CAMO reliability Department to establish trend information, and to effectively manage internal parts pool.
- Provide troubleshooting recommendations whenever requested to assist in routine aircraft defect analysis.
- Focal point in coordinating with Systems Engineers in resolving complex technical cases.
- Collate and distributes various reports and statistics as required to meet business requirements
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering or equivalent with 10 Years of total experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering & At least 5 Years of experience as certifying staff on A320 fleet aircraft type.
- Holder of valid UAE GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or ICAO state member licensed type.
- Knowledge of Operational Impact and associated consequences.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of maintenance management software (AMOS).
Work Experience
- Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Aircraft Systems covering multiple ATA Chapters.
- Demonstrates exceptional work habits, high accuracy and attention to both results and details.
- Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying root causes and recommending effective solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of Organizational Quality and Safety policies and procedures.
- Familiar with human factors principles and SMS.
- MCC experince is an added benefit.
- Capable of using technology systems & tools
- Ability to produce, interpret, assimilate data and express ideas and concepts clearly.
