Job Overview:
We seek a meticulous and analytical Data Quality Analyst to join our dynamic data management team. The ideal candidate will ensure our data's accuracy, consistency, and reliability across various platforms. This role is crucial in maintaining data integrity and supporting business decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Quality Assessment:
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of data to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Develop and implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Data Cleansing and Correction:
- Identify data errors and anomalies through data profiling and validation techniques.
- Perform data cleansing to rectify issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Data Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor data quality metrics and create reports to track data quality improvements over time.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations to communicate data quality status to stakeholders.
- Data Governance Support:
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to enforce data governance policies.
- Participate in data governance meetings and contribute to developing data governance frameworks.
- Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigate and analyse root causes of data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with IT and business teams to implement solutions to prevent future data quality problems.
- Documentation and Training:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes, procedures, and standards.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data quality tools and best practices.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a data quality, data analysis, or data management role.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data quality and data governance (e.g., GDPR).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data governance and data management principles.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
