Key Job Responsibilities
• Support and implement the data protection framework and advise on privacy matters.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with GDPR or similar regional privacy laws.
• 1-2 years of experience with privacy management tools such as Securiti.AI, OneTrust, or similar software.
• Lead the development and management of the Data Protection and Governance Program, including using privacy management tools. This involves conducting Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
• Draft, update, and maintain internal data privacy policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory changes.
• Oversee daily privacy operations, including managing data subject access requests and handling privacy inquiries.
• Prepare and deliver privacy training programs to enhance awareness across all functions.
• Monitor compliance systematically, report findings to stakeholders, and ensure follow-up actions. Regularly review and update the company’s global data protection measures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the IT Security team and key business units to maintain a secure data environment and support privacy objectives.
• Manage the data privacy program across the Galadari Group, ensuring consistent privacy practices and compliance with local data protection laws (UAE PDPL).
Education Qualification, Work Experience & Skills
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar.
• 4+ years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or compliance roles.
Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, including experience with privacy frameworks, compliance programs, and conducting DPIAs, PIAs, and RoPA.
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy operations, and managing data subject access requests.
• Proficiency in using privacy management tools and familiarity with data security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide training, develop policies, and advise on privacy-related matters.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and business units, to ensure data protection objectives are met.
