Our client is launching a new data platform designed to deliver tailored analytics solutions across industries. By merging advanced cloud infrastructure with scalable data models, the platform will empower businesses to gain actionable insights. To bring this vision to life, our client is looking for a skilled data engineer to join their dynamic team in Dubai.
Role Overview:
As a data engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our client’s data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring that data flows seamlessly from various sources to the analytics layer. Your focus will be on designing systems that are reliable, scalable, and secure, enabling the delivery of real-time analytics across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using modern cloud technologies
- Work with Azure and AWS to create scalable, cloud-based data solutions
- Implement and optimize ClickHouse for fast, efficient analytics
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is structured for actionable insights
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow, performance, and quality
- Ensure best practices for data governance, security, and compliance
Tech Stack:
- Cloud Infrastructure: Azure and AWS for storage, computing, and data management
- Data Warehouse: ClickHouse for high-performance analytics at scale
- Data Pipelines: Building ETL/ELT processes to ensure data is accessible, clean, and ready for use
- Automation & Orchestration: Leveraging tools such as Airflow, Kubernetes, or similar for data pipeline orchestration
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and familiarity with other scripting languages
- Version Control & CI/CD: Experience with Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools to streamline development and deployment
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS
- Strong expertise in data warehouse technologies, with specific experience in ClickHouse a plus
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage data pipelines in a cloud environment
- Strong understanding of data governance, security best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex data issues
- A passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
