Job Description

As the Data Director for Social Media, you will own all reporting related to our client portfolio and drive data-driven decision-making for both internal and external teams. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping and optimizing our social media strategies, driving engagement, and
improving overall performance. This leadership role requires a strong blend of analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and social media acumen. You will also need to be proficient in data-analytics tooling, with an emphasis on social media performance, social listening, and
competitor benchmarking. Additionally, you must be capable of managing a team to efficiently produce high-quality, insight-rich reports for internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute a comprehensive data and reporting strategy for social media, aligning it with the client’s broader reporting objectives and our social strategy team’s
goals.
● Lead a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
● Own the full calendar of reporting deliverables, ensuring their timely production, accuracy, and usability. Reports must be suitable for C-suite consumption and actionable for operating teams.
● Collaborate closely with the strategy team to inform and establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and guide the setting of relevant benchmarks and targets across social media performance and social listening.
● Oversee the use of, and potentially implement, advanced analytics tools and methodologies to track, monitor, and interpret social media data, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
● Work with cross-functional teams, including strategy and operations, to analyze performance data, optimize social media campaigns and content strategies, and generate client-facing reports.
● Identify and proactively report on trends, patterns, and opportunities in social media data to help strategy teams refine audience targeting and content optimization efforts.
● Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark social media performance against industry standards and identify gaps and opportunities for growth.
● Oversee the tracking and attribution of social media-driven conversions, collaborating
with interagency partners and client development teams to ensure our contributions are recognized across the full customer journey.
● Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all data-related
activities.
