Overview of the role:


The Data & AI Analyst drives Al-Futtaim Technologies' strategic shift towards a smart data-centric business model. This role supports the Head of Business Transformation by utilising AI & advanced data analytics to inform and guide business decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and foster innovation in developing new intellectual property (IP) products. The data & AI analyst supports internal transformations and external client engagements through deep data insights and works on transformational R&D to innovate new IPs like conversational AI. 


The Data & AI Analyst at Al-Futtaim Technologies is central to the company's strategic evolution from a licensing-centric model to a comprehensive 360-support framework for data-related clients. This role is essential in driving the company’s transition by enhancing the data offering, fostering new revenue streams, and increasing average deal size. Based in Dubai, the Data & AI Analyst will collaborate closely with AFT’s Tableau and Microsoft sales teams, providing critical technical support, delivering product demonstrations, and implementing data visualisation & AI solutions. 


As part of the business transformation team, the position will support the Head of Business Transformation in optimising internal reporting processes and improving operational efficiency. Using tools like SAP, Power BI, and Monday.com, the Data & AI Analyst will visualise financial data, identify discrepancies, and streamline reporting, ensuring accurate and timely insights. 


The Data & AI Analyst’s role is pivotal in integrating comprehensive data solutions into AFT's existing frameworks, supporting strategic business goals, and enhancing the company's competitive position in the data services market. This position demands a blend of technical expertise in data analysis and visualisation, strong communication skills, and the ability to align solutions with organisational objectives and client needs. 


What you will do:



Enhancing AFT's Portfolio (CX and Cybersecurity) 


  • Development of Conversational AI Modules: Spearhead the R&D initiatives to develop advanced conversational AI modules that integrate seamlessly with various customer experience (CX) and cybersecurity platforms. These AI modules will serve as standalone plugins, enhancing AFT’s product offerings in the digital transformation space. 
  • Customized AI Solutions: Collaborate with the Business Transformation and Product Development teams to create AI-driven, vertical-specific solutions that address unique customer needs across different industries. This effort includes using data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to analyse user interactions and feedback, which will inform the iterative development of these AI modules. 
  • Technical Support and Stakeholder Engagement: Provide comprehensive technical support and conduct product demonstrations for stakeholders to showcase the capabilities and benefits of the new AI modules. This includes detailed walkthroughs of integration points with existing CX and cybersecurity platforms. 

Supporting Tableau and Microsoft Sales Teams 


  • Provide technical support and data analysis expertise to AFT’s Tableau and Microsoft sales teams. 
  • Conduct product demonstrations and assist in showcasing the benefits of advanced data visualisation solutions. 
  • Aid in crafting proposals by offering insights on data integration and visualisation. 

Internal Business Transformation 


  • Utilize Monday.com, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI to visualise financial and operational performance data. 
  • Automate and streamline internal reporting processes to improve data accessibility and accuracy. 
  • Automate data extraction and consolidate data from different sources, including SAP, M-Files, Monday.com, and any other tools in use by the business  
  • Integrate key tools to reduce manual data handling. 
  • Visualise risks related to certified/un-certified collections. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of reports and presentations. 

Collaboration and Strategic Support 


  • Work with project managers to meet analytics needs. 
  • Work with LM to assist GM in strategic decision-making based on data analysis. 

Technical Expertise and Growth 


  • Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data visualisation and analysis. 
  • Contribute to AFT's knowledge base and best practices by sharing insights and mentoring colleagues. 
  • Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools.

What Equips you for the role: 


Education: 


  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, AI or a related field. A master’s degree, relevant data analysis, AI or visualisation tools certifications is a plus. 


Certifications:  


  • Relevant certifications such as Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate or other data visualisation and analytics credentials are advantageous. 


Minimum Requirements / Experience: 


  • Professional Experience:  


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, visualization, or a related field. 


  • Proven experience with tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI 


  • Experience in supporting sales teams and working on client-facing projects is desirable. 


  • Industry Experience: 


  • Experience in technology or data-focused sectors is preferred. 


  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, including CRM and ERP solutions, is beneficial. 


  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate strong proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI. Show expertise in data integration, automation tools, and working with diverse data sources  


  • Communication and Collaboration: Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, project managers, and business transformation teams. 


  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results. Capable of working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.
