Job Description

Role Purpose:


Regularly conduct comprehensive inspections and audits related to Dangerous Goods regulations and assist Head of Dangerous Goods Section in ensuring regulatory compliance of all related entities involved with the air transportation, storage and carriage of dangerous goods such as Airports, Airlines, Handling agents and Cargo agents.


Key Responsibilities/Duties:


1.Audits & Inspections: Regularly conducts inspection and monitoring the handling and storage of Dangerous goods and cargo in the emirates of Dubai cargo agent’s facilities as per local, national and international regulations.


2.Dangerous Goods Investigations: Investigates serious and critical Dangerous Goods related incidents and operational issues and prepares related reports for the Head of the Dangerous Goods Section,


3.Dangerous Goods Carriage & Storage: Evaluates and approve the online requests for transportation of Firearms and Dangerous Goods. Assist the head of section ininspect the Dangerous Goods facility request in compliance with national and international requirements.


4.Dangerous Goods Handlers: Inspects and reports the full compliance of all Dangerous oods handlers with all standards and regulations, including the use of the appropriate Personal Protect Equipment’s and radioactive detector by all; report any incorrect handling of Hazardous Substance or Dangerous Goods to the Section Head.


5.Clarification of Suspicious Shipments: Inspect and clarify of all suspected shipments in Dubai Airports.


6.Records Management & Reports: Maintain records of all Dangerous Goods applications and all related correspondence. Assist the Head of the Dangerous Goods Section in the preparation and presentation of annual audit/Inspection reports.


7. Ensure compliance with non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, as well as DCAA security policies, to safeguard both government and DCAA confidential information. Address and rectify any ISR audit findings, promptly report security incidents, and engage in ongoing security awareness training to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.


8.     Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Academic Qualifications:


Higher Diploma or equivalent degree.


Certifications:


  • Dangerous Goods Handling
  • Dangerous Goods Acceptance

Professional Experience:


  • At least five (5) years working experience in aviation operations
  • At least two (2) year in professional role
