Job Description

About the job CSSD Technician Responsibilities:

Handle the sterilization, decontamination, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and other supplies.
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washer-disinfectors.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards and guidelines during all sterilization processes.
Organize and manage instrument trays, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
Conduct regular inspections of instruments to identify any damage or repair needs.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures and inventory management.
Monitor and restock sterile supplies as required to support efficient operations.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet the surgical and procedural requirements of the facility.
Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards as outlined by local and international guidelines.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a CSSD Technician in the UAE healthcare sector.
Education: Diploma or certification in Central Sterile Services or related field.
Skills:
- Thorough understanding of sterilization processes and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of CSSD equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Languages: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
