About the job CSSD Technician Responsibilities:
  • Handle the sterilization, decontamination, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and other supplies.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washer-disinfectors.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and guidelines during all sterilization processes.
  • Organize and manage instrument trays, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Conduct regular inspections of instruments to identify any damage or repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures and inventory management.
  • Monitor and restock sterile supplies as required to support efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet the surgical and procedural requirements of the facility.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards as outlined by local and international guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a CSSD Technician in the UAE healthcare sector.
  • Education: Diploma or certification in Central Sterile Services or related field.
  • Skills:
    • Thorough understanding of sterilization processes and infection control protocols.
    • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of CSSD equipment.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
