About the job Cost Estimator

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare accurate estimation and cost planning
  • Prepare, support in the preparation and review of cost estimation for Projects in pursuit
  • Close liaison and arrange meetings with other departments for various estimation and benchmarking tasks.
  • Provision of general support information to the estimation and benchmarking team.
  • Create project costings and budgets from clear objectives.
  • Analysing project data efficiently and seek for necessary clarifications if needed.
  • Working as a proactive team player to achieve team goals.
  • Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of budget estimates.
  • Undertaking cost management services with limited supervision.
  • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • BSc in quantity surveying
  • Preferrable being a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • A minimum of 5 years technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy firm
  • Cost Estimation & Cost Planning Experience
  • Post-contract experience is an advantage
  • UAE/GCC experience
  • Good technical writing and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
