About the job Cost Estimator
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate estimation and cost planning
- Prepare, support in the preparation and review of cost estimation for Projects in pursuit
- Close liaison and arrange meetings with other departments for various estimation and benchmarking tasks.
- Provision of general support information to the estimation and benchmarking team.
- Create project costings and budgets from clear objectives.
- Analysing project data efficiently and seek for necessary clarifications if needed.
- Working as a proactive team player to achieve team goals.
- Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of budget estimates.
- Undertaking cost management services with limited supervision.
- Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- BSc in quantity surveying
- Preferrable being a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- A minimum of 5 years technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy firm
- Cost Estimation & Cost Planning Experience
- Post-contract experience is an advantage
- UAE/GCC experience
- Good technical writing and communication skills
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
- A team player with a can-do attitude
