Job Title: Cost Controller
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Controller with a solid background in manufacturing industry practices to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant experience in cost control, auditing, and ERP implementation. With a focus on cost deduction strategies, the Cost Controller will play a pivotal role in optimizing our operational efficiency and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Control and Analysis:
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control procedures to monitor and analyze expenses across various departments.
- Analyze cost variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable insights to management for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to cost control measures and identify areas for optimization.
- ERP Implementation and Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and customize ERP systems to streamline cost tracking and reporting processes.
- Oversee the integration of cost control modules within the ERP system and provide training to end-users for effective utilization.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance ERP functionalities to meet evolving business needs and improve data accuracy.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts by providing accurate cost data and insights.
- Monitor budget performance against actual expenditures, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align cost objectives with organizational goals and objectives.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including cost analysis reports, for management review and decision-making purposes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to cost accounting practices.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit processes and address any audit findings related to cost control activities.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process optimization throughout the organization.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, benchmarks, and best-in-class practices in cost control and recommend relevant strategies for adoption.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MCom, CMA, or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost control, preferably within the manufacturing industry in the UAE.
- Proven experience in ERP implementation, customization, and maintenance, with proficiency in relevant ERP software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
