Job Description

Carter Murray is proud to be working with an international furniture retailer who are looking for a Corporate Sales Executive to join the team.


Working as part of our vibrant Corporate Sales team, you will prospect and engage with clients from various walks of life – villas & apartments, property developers, hotels & hospitality and other commercial sectors.


Liaising with our Interior Design team, you will prepare and present home furnishing and FF&E suggestions and solutions reflecting the companies philosophy whilst meeting the clients’ requirements.


Working with our internal project management, logistics, warehouse and finance departments, you will oversee a project from the initial design stages to installation, monitoring the progress and quality of services and products surpassing clients expectations and ensuring sales targets are achieved.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify market opportunities to develop and grow a strong sales pipeline which will ensure annual targets are met.
  • Research, identify and engage suitable clients within target sectors.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals to prospective clients and ensure the opportunity is maximized to its full potential.
  • Surpass client expectations to secure repeat business and recommendations.
  • Client Relationship Management – maintain and strengthen relationships with your clients.
  • Develop and maintain a database of business contacts.
  • Achievement of personal and departmental goals & objectives as well as sales target. Maintain a smooth flow of day-to-day operations in the Corporate department.
  • Clearly communicate and coordinate with the support functions & support personnel.
  • Complete required sales reports for the division on time.
  • Identify and develop ways of improving process, costs and communications more effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely response to all enquiries & client leads assigned to Corporate.
  • Make a post project follow up call to clients to ensure the service level requirements & project expectations have been met.
  • Attend Sales meetings and provide regular updates to management of sales forecast, situation analysis and business opportunity. Encourage teamwork to achieve department and company goal
  • Take initiative and responsibility to support colleagues and new team members in all products and services offered and help to conclude deals.
  • Complete training if required. Attend training courses when required.
  • On identifying an issue, propose solutions with your line manager.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure data posting is within the set timeline. Communicate with suppliers of order and delivery status for client custom orders.
  • Develop your knowledge of suppliers and contractors.
  • Work closely with the project manager and other support team members to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Requirements


  • Ideally you will have home furnishing and/or interior design experience and have a proven track record in an equivalent role covering both B2B & B2C sales
  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • Fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Enthusiastic, confident, efficient, genuine and responsible, with an ability to work independently & sometimes under pressure.
