Job Summary:
We are looking for passionate and skilled Cooks who specialize in preparing authentic Pakistani and Indian dishes for one of our client in Al Ain. As a cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization within the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare traditional Pakistani and Indian dishes (e.g., Biryani, Butter Chicken, Nihari, Aloo Gobi, etc.) based on recipes or specific customer requests.
- Ensure the presentation and quality of the dishes meet the required standards.
- Manage all food preparation tasks, ensuring proper handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations.
- Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements for the dishes.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Pakistani and Indian food ingredients and cooking methods.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff, including sous chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure timely food preparation during peak hours without compromising on quality.
- Work with kitchen management to maintain inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef, specializing in Pakistani or Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of traditional cooking techniques and flavors of Pakistani and Indian foods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions precisely.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the restaurant.
Preferred Skills:- Familiarity with modern kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff and assisting in training.
- Knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions common in South Asian cuisine.
