Financial Controller- SI Electrification and Automation
Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Siemens is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Controller based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position plays a critical role in supporting the SI EA Lead Country Performance Controller and will involve executing specific tasks independently while contributing to key financial operations. The Controller will ensure that financial reporting, planning, and performance analysis processes are effectively managed and aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Preparation and distribution of critical financial reports, ensuring the Business Unit (BU) Management is fully informed about financial performance.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support in the financial planning process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and regular financial reporting.
- Analysis: Conduct detailed analytical reviews of business results, comparing them with forecasts and budgets to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data.
- Key Metrics Review: Analyse business key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Business Volume, Gross Margin, SG&A, Profit, Free Cash Flow (FCF), Net Capital Employed (NCE), and Headcount (HC).
- Internal Controls: Ensure the effective implementation of internal control procedures to safeguard the BU’s assets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to financial reporting guidelines and other applicable regulations.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Regular interaction with controlling teams in assigned countries, providing valuable insights and support.
- Special Tasks: Plan and execute self-driven tasks, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and operations.
- Support in preparation of Business review meetings with the Business Heads & Headquarter.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 3-4 years of direct experience in a controlling function.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in reporting tools such as SPS Plus, ESPRIT, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), with a working knowledge of SAP.
- Core Competencies: Strong business communication skills, the ability to adapt to rapid changes, and a demonstrated growth mindset.Keen to learn, explore and innovate with reporting/automation.
- Analytical Abilities: A solid understanding of financial principles, enabling the completion of moderately complex assignments with high accuracy.
