As a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing conditions affecting the chest, including diseases of the lungs and esophagus. Your role will encompass performing complex surgical procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the advancement of thoracic surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories and clinical symptoms to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Perform a variety of advanced surgical procedures, such as lobectomies, esophagectomies, and mediastinal surgeries.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including pulmonologists, oncologists, and radiologists.
- Stay updated with current trends and advancements in thoracic surgery to enhance clinical practices.
- Participate in academic research and contribute to the education of medical trainees.
