Job Description
Diagnose and treat a wide range of abdominal and visceral organ conditions, including diseases of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, intestines, and spleen. Perform complex surgeries related to visceral conditions, such as liver resections, pancreatic surgeries, bowel resections, and minimally invasive procedures. Provide expert care for conditions like colorectal cancer, liver diseases (e.g., cirrhosis, liver tumors), pancreatitis, Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, and gastrointestinal bleeding. Manage both emergency and elective surgical cases, including trauma cases involving the abdominal organs. Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, including pre-operative assessment, surgical intervention, and post-operative care and rehabilitation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including gastroenterologists, oncologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists to ensure comprehensive care. Provide education to patients and their families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and lifestyle adjustments. Stay current with the latest advancements in visceral surgery, including new technologies and minimally invasive techniques. Participate in academic research or clinical trials, contributing to advancements in visceral surgery. Supervise, mentor, and train junior surgeons, residents, and medical staff in the field of visceral surgery. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, and department meetings to collaborate on patient management.
