As a Consultant/Specialist Spine Surgeon, you will diagnose and treat complex spine disorders, perform state-of-the-art surgical procedures, and provide comprehensive post-operative care. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping treatment plans and improving the overall health and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to accurately diagnose spine-related conditions.
- Utilize advanced imaging technologies, such as MRI and CT scans, to inform surgical decisions.
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures including but not limited to spinal fusion, laminectomy, and disc replacement.
- Manage the pre-operative and post-operative care processes to ensure optimal patient recovery.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, including neurologists, physiotherapists, and nursing staff, to create individualized treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions, surgical procedures, and follow-up care in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in spinal surgery practices and contribute to the improvement of surgical protocols.
- Engage in patient education, providing clear information about their condition and treatment options.
