In the role of Consultant/Specialist Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing various eye conditions, providing high-quality patient care, and performing advanced surgical procedures. Your expertise will greatly contribute to enhancing the visual health and quality of life for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and comprehensive assessments of patients’ medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including but not limited to visual acuity tests, tonometry, and imaging studies.
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Perform surgical interventions, such as cataract extraction, LASIK, and other refractive surgeries.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication prescriptions.
- Monitor patients post-operatively and manage any complications or concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology through continuous education and involvement in professional organizations.
