As a Consultant or Specialist in Psychiatry, your primary focus will be on diagnosing and treating a range of mental health disorders. You will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans, and delivering ongoing therapeutic support to improve mental health outcomes for your patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed psychiatric assessments to evaluate the mental health status of patients
- Diagnose and manage a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and substance abuse
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and additional therapeutic interventions
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying appropriate therapeutic techniques
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and support teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in psychiatry to enhance patient treatment strategies
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality regulations in handling patient information
