Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including detailed medical histories and nephrological examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging studies, and kidney biopsies
- Diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, including chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, and kidney stones
- Create tailored treatment plans and discuss options with patients, including medication management and referrals for advanced procedures
- Monitor and manage complications related to kidney diseases, such as hypertension and electrolyte disturbances
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay informed about the latest advancements in nephrology
